Bringing QCL Frequency
Combs to the present

What are Frequency Combs?

Frequency combs, also known as optical frequency combs (OFCs) are laser devices which emit light in a wide spectrum consisting of equidistant peaks in frequency space.

Why QCL Combs?

Quantum cascade laser (QCL) frequency combs are the the next step in the evolution of frequency comb technology. These are compact and robust devices which can be designed to lase anywhere in the mid-infrared spectrum, opening up new kinds of photonics applications such as dual-comb spectroscopy.

The QCL Combs Market

QCL frequency combs first entered the commercial market in 2017. Since then, the market for QCL combs has grown steadily as their capabilities become more well-known and the technology matures.
